Scrapbooking ideas that will make your day!
Have you ever been really in the mood to scrapbook, and you finally have a few minutes to sit down and make a page or two, and then your mind goes blank and you become extremely frustrated instead of excited. This has happened to me several times and so I have come up with a great plan that has helped me and I hope will help you also.
The Plan –
First - go to the store and buy a cheap notebook.
Second - search the internet, or scrapbook magazines, or scrapbook idea books.
Third – Whenever you come across a cute idea for a page layout, simply print it off or cut it out and add it to the notebook you purchased specifically for scrapbooking ideas (see above)! Soon your scrapbooking idea book will be full of ideas.
Next time you go to sit down and are ready to create a page layout all you will need to do is pull out your handy-dandy scrapbooking ideas book and create, create, create! Scrapbooking ideas are not hard to find, especially on the internet, so get searching. Just “Google” the words “scrapbooking ideas” and you will be rewarded with 395,000 hits (last time I checked). Maybe you better go out and buy some more notebooks!
I have a few scrapbooking ideas of my own that I would love to share with you. These ideas have helped me a lot during the 15 years that I have been scrapbooking. The first idea I have is to go to the library and check out scrapbook magazines for free. Of course, you cannot tear the ideas from the magazine, but you could copy the idea from your printer, or make a hand drawn sketch in your notebook yourself. What a money saver!
The second idea I have is to visit the scrapbooking section of stores such as Michael’s, JoAnn’s, Hobby Lobby, etc. While you are browsing through these stores look for the free pamphlets that they have hanging in the scrapbooking section. I came home from Hobby Lobby the other day with a huge handful of scrapbooking ideas from these free pamphlets.
I know that it is hard to come up with fun and new scrapbooking ideas, but I know that the solutions I have suggested above will help make your scrapbooking experience more enjoyable and tons easier. You will never draw a blank again!
